A busy June....

Wow... it's hard to believe we are into the second half of the year!! Time sure flies whether one is having fun or not!

We had a busy busy June...  We started by painting the living room, dining area, and kitchen a light and bright sage green and white.   We switched the daycare and living room so now the daycare room is in the front of the house and the living room is in the back..  It has taken some getting used to, but we really like it this way.

We've had to replace the above ground pool this year. That is still a work in progress, but we hope to have it done in another week or so.  Tropical Storm Debby set us back quite a bit, but we were very thankful for all the rain!
Collin got on the roof to take a picture of the pool from up high. It is quite green because of all the algae
Todd and Kaitlyn working on taking the pool down. Once the liner came out, the insides of the pool were very rusty. It's a good thing we didn't fill it up for this hot summer!
Once the pool was down and taken to the dump, Kaitlyn sat in the very middle with the end of a measuring tape.....
....while Collin went out twelve feet with the other end of the tape and a can of spray paint. Then we had the whole pool sketched out!

Todd and I celebrated our 22nd anniversary on the 16th, Father's Day on the 17th and my birthday on the 20th.  There was a lot of celebrating going on around here... and it was all fun!!!

Todd and I were able to go away for our anniversary.  It was nice being just the two of us again for a few hours.  When we got home the kids had surprised us by painting all the vents in the house. Sounds like a funny thing to do as a surprise... but it is something that needed doing for quite awhile. What thoughtful kids!!!

Todd was celebrated for the wonderful father that he is!  He enjoyed a day of pampering with as many naps as he wanted!
This is Todd's morning present. Thanks to Pinterest!
Todd's morning present was a poster board with candy stuck on it. We used the names of the candy bars to make a letter. This is what it said:
"Dad, we were going to give you a Whopping 100 Grand, but the money slipped through our Butterfingers. We didn't have an Extra Whatchamacallit to sell and it wasn't Payday. We didn't think a pet Kit Kat, a trip to new York or an Orbit around the Milkway would be appropriate. We do want to wish you Mounds ot Almond Joy as you eat this card. We hope it doesn't make you Rolo-ver and get sick. If it does, we promise not to snicker!
Love your 3 Musketeers (Meagan, Collin and Kaitlyn) and Dove (Todd calls Diona "Dove")

Todd has been looking online, watching youtube videos, looking at pictures, looking at prices, drooling and hinting at a tool made by Leatherman. It is called a Charge TTI.We special ordered him one that has Todd Boyle - RSM (Registered Surveyor and Mapper)

Todd admiring his new tool!

For my birthday, Todd bought me a Marx Tin Litho doll house.  It is just like the doll house I played with as a child when I would visit my grandmother.  Seems silly for a grown woman to want a doll house, but I think it's the memories of playing with it that I cherish.
Diona's doll house. Completely made out of tin. It has a red roof and green shutters

We had a small party at Judy's house. We had Publix's chocolate ganache cake... so yummy!!

 Now onto July!
